Troubleshooting: A Page Does Not Open or Asks You to Reload

Issue

You select a page in Geo Data Connector (for example Ingestion Tasks), but the page does not open. Either nothing seems to happen, the page reloads once by itself, or a message appears at the top of the window:

  • This page could not be opened. Geo Data Connector may have been updated, or your network connection may have been interrupted. Reload the page to continue.
  • This page still could not be opened after reloading. Check your network connection and try again in a few minutes. If the problem continues, contact support.

Why It Happens

A page cannot open when the Connector cannot load it. The usual reasons are:

  • Your network connection was interrupted for a moment while the page was loading.
  • The Connector was updated while your browser tab was already open. The open tab still refers to the previous version, so a page you had not visited yet is no longer available under its old name.

What the Connector Does

When this happens, the Connector reloads the page you wanted once, automatically. After an update this is normally all that is needed. If the page still cannot be opened, the Connector shows the second message above instead of reloading again.

Any data you were typing on the page you were leaving is not kept, as is the case whenever you move to another page.

What You Can Do

  1. Select Reload page in the message, or reload the browser tab.
  2. Check that your network connection is working, then try again.
  3. If the message keeps appearing after a few minutes, close the tab and open the Connector again from the application page in Snowflake.
  4. If the problem continues, contact support as described in the Troubleshooting overview.
