Installation

This chapter describes the installation steps for Geo Data Connector (the paid edition). If you are installing Geo Data Connector Free Edition, the steps are nearly identical — the main difference is that the free edition has no pricing step and does not require a credit card.

Installing from the Snowflake Marketplace requires specific privileges. Most commonly, ACCOUNTADMIN or a custom role with elevated privileges is used. You can also create a custom role with only the necessary privileges for tighter access control.

4. View Pricing
5. Confirm Purchase
6. Complete Installation
7. Configure Application — approve external connections, grant warehouse access, and map account roles
8. Finalize Application Configuration — configure the ingestion target database via the App Launcher or via SQL from a worksheet
