Getting Started
This guide walks you through your first experience with Geo Data Connector, from starting the application to querying your first ingested dataset.
Prerequisites
You need a Snowflake account role mapped to the Geo Data Connector APP_USER application role (see Map Account Roles to Application Roles in the installation guide). ACCOUNTADMIN also works.
To begin, select Catalog from the Snowsight left sidebar.
SQL-Only Workflow
If you prefer to work entirely from SQL worksheets, you can skip starting the web application. After installation, configure the ingestion target database via SQL and use the SQL Procedures API for discovery, connections, and task management. See Using the Connector without the Web Application for details.
